I just realized that I never wrote about my trip to Pomona! After my birthday I had a week until school started with no work and school wasn’t starting till monday so I took the time off as a great opportunity to spend time with Roy. So the day after my birthday we spent the day driving down to pomona. We spent 9 hours in the car through rain storms, hurricanes, hail, and some rare sunny skies! It was a great adventure from San Francisco to Pomona and we had a surprisingly good time! We listened to comedians, took photos, and rocked out to the Beatles!

I spent tuesday through friday there basically just reading, watching movies and tv, and relaxing. It was fabulous to do absolutely nothing for a week after working 30 hour weeks for 6 straight weeks! It was also really great for me and Roy since we were both so busy when he was up north for his break. On saturday I drove back up to San Francisco by myself, I felt like a true college student! Haha. It was not as bad as I thought! I got from Roys door to mine in exactly 7 hours! Thats with a 20 min food stop, 2 gas stops, and getting lost twice! Plus I took the 99 and not the 5! Luckily I had just gotten a new bluetooth so I spent like an hour on the phone with Ashley, an hour with katie spread out over 2 phone calls, then the rest of the time I listened to some comedy shows (Robin Williams, Demetri Martin, and Dan Cook) and it flew by pretty quick! Overall it was a great trip and was exactly what I needed! Here a few photos I took of the Grapevine!

21 and Fabulous!
I don’t know why I felt that this blog was soo epic that I needed to take so long to write it. Ha. My 21st birthday was a few weekends ago and it was amazing! I am not gonna lie and say that there aren’t a few things that I would like to change if I could because there definitely are but it still was great! I had a Flapper/Roaring 20’s/Speakeasy party for my Birthday. I didn’t really pick a specific name I just kinda used them all. Ha. The party was great! All of my Sonoma friends came and a bunch of my friends from the city were there too!
Here are some group shots! The first one is of me and my roommates!

My amazing boyfriend! He doesn’t smoke! It’s just a prop!

After midnight the people who were over 21 and I went over to the bar a few doors down from my place and we got my first official drink! I had champagne! Natassja was kind enough to document my entire experience! And I mean ENTIRE! Step by step! Hahahaha!
Walking into the bar…

Ordering my first drink…

My first drink!

The night didn’t end so well(me hugging the toilet) but hey its my 21st birthday! haha. The next day I went to lunch with my family at La Casa! It was delicious!

Then later that night Kelsey Megan and Erin came over to have cake with the family and then we had a game night!

First Week of School!
This semester panned out MUCH better than Fall semester! I thankfully was able to register for four classes this semester before school started and they were actually ones I needed! I got into two comm classes (for my major) and two segment 3 classes (which I need for the school to graduate). I didn’t have to crash a single class! It was such a relief! After my first week of school I can honestly say that this is going to be my hardest semester of school so far! Yikes! Its going to be tough but I can do it!

Books…
Between Christmas and my Birthday I have received about 5 books and to add to that katie returned about about another 5 to me last week… the point of this is that I have one shelf in a bookcase and a small box under my bed that I fill my books with but with all of this extra stuff coming in I decided it was time to make a system. I now have a box for all the books I have read, a box for the ones I want to read, and then in the bookcase my favorites along with the next few I want to read. This might seem extremely boring but it was quite a accomplishment for me. I am not really a book reader but on my europe trip I was able to read 12 book and since then I have finished 6. For me thats A LOT! There not the most intellectual books and I don’t care I think its enough that I read anything at all! ha. This blog is basically just about how happy I am that I have been reading more! That is all.
Well thats not all but that was my main thought. Ha. Katie bought the book “Dear John” for me for my birthday and since I have had a lot of free time while I am visiting Roy I started and finished in 2 days! It was great! It was filled with such passion and instant love between these two characters and just made me so happy and appreciative of the wonderful relationship I am in. I have always believed that love at first sight was possible but this book was an outstanding example of how that could happen. I don’t want to give to much away of the book but it was fantastic! There making into a movie and that is one of the main reasons I read it (Although Katie has been talking about it for years) but to me the movie is going to portray the book well so if you don’t get a chance to read it before february 5th then go see the movie!

Living the good life!
I have just realized that I have not wrote in this in a long time! Christmas and New Years came and went with some great times with my close friends and family. I was working a lot with Macys in Union Square and trying to share my time between Roy and my friends and family. It worked out pretty well! I also started a new job (roys job) being a care taker. I started on January 1st and my last day in on the 16th. Roy and I went up to Soda Springs before he left for the night and spent time playing in the snow and hanging out with Kelsey and her friends.

Then last week I spent wednesday through friday with the girls at the Price Cabin and then me and erin spent friday through sunday with the cuff kids and the rest of our crew. It was great to get to hang out with both of our groups of friends in this isolated snow covered cabins! I had such a great 5 day vacation it was kind of hard to come back but at least I still have 2 more weeks of vacation! Ha.

The next 5 days I will be working so I won’t be doing anything interesting but Roy comes on thursday and my 21st bday in on sunday!!! Can’t wait!!!

What a Wonderful Life…
I have immersed myself into the christmas spirit with tons of activities and parties to make me feel the cheer. I have been watching every wintery/christmas movie I own! And have been listening to christmas music non-stop at work! It has been absolutely wonderful! This has been the holiday season I have ever had! : )
My Christmas Party went a lot better than I thought it would! I knew that none of my Sonoma friends were coming and I wasn’t sure if my friends in the city were going to come but they all did! We had a great time and it was wonderful to have Roy meet all my city friends that I talk about all the time. I really wish it would have been on a better day so more people could come but it was great just the same. Just a few photos from the night:

Monday (12/14) we had our roommate Christmas! We made a delicious dinner and then exchanged our gifts! We had done a secret santa and everyone got great presents that fit perfectly for our personality! We also got a huge gift basket from our landlord with a bunch of awesome stuff in it! After we stuffed our faces we decorated the stockings I bought everyone and then watched a movie. Is pretty fun and made me really excited for christmas with my family!

Tuesday my friend Emily was promoting the movie “Have you met the Morgans?” by doing a couples night at the Ice Skating rink in the Embarcadero! Roy, Sarah, and I were the only ones to actually ice skate but Emily did her promotional stuff and we had a good time just hanging out. After ice skating we went to the Fisherman’s Warf and got In N Out and then walked over to the huge tree on Pier 39! I love the tree! I think it is better than the one in Union Square, it was soo gorgeous! It actually looked like a larger version of a normal house christmas tree!

On Friday night (12/18) my friends Sarah and Lucy had a Holiday Party here in the city! Me and Roy went for a little bit after work but didn’t stay long cause we were both exhausted but it was fun!

On Saturday there was a show for Brad’s to raise money to help out him and his family. Me Ashley and Roy went and met up with some friends. It was really great to have so many people show their support for him and his family! Over 200 people showed up and they raised over 3000 dollars! The bands were amazing!!! And it was just really nice to have so many people there for brad. Ashley and I did our video message to him together and she blew me out of the water by sounding spectacular while I just kinda stood there. Hahaha. There were some photos taken by Michelle but I haven’t seen them yet so I will post them later.
On Sunday Erin and Megan had their second annual Ugly Sweater Party where we decorated ginger bread houses and did a white elephant gift exchange! It was a lot of fun and I really like how my house came out!!!

Then on Monday Roy and I went to the Nutcracker at the Opera House here in San Francisco! It was wonderful! We had such a great time and it was such a cool ballet! We definitely need to do it again next year!!!

I’m so thankful for my life <3
Even though my family has been going through a real rough patch we were able to celebrate this Thanksgiving to it’s full extent and I think it was the best one we have ever had. I am thankful for my strong mother and my loving family, for my amazing boyfriend who I could not be more in love with, for my great friends who are always by my side, for the 2 roofs over my head that I call my home, for getting an education that isn’t available to most people, for the clothes on my back, the food in my belly, the jobs that I have obtained, the experiences I have had, and the life I have made for myself from the help and support of my loved ones. I think it is really important to appreciate what you have and I do try my best to tell the people around me how much I love and care for them. But I think more importantly then appreciating what you have is what you are doing. If you yourself are happy then the people around you will be happy too. Just to enjoy the many great moments you have in life and be a positive person and express all the joy and happiness you have. It can spread the cheer. The holidays really do a number on me, and I get ridiculously happy around this time of year but I just can’t help it! Everything is just so pretty! The fall leaves, the rain, the christmas trees and decoration, the general spirit, the cheerful music, the movie marathons, the sales! Ha. It just makes me love life!
The holidays really hit me this week because I had been trying to get to excited for them because I had so much stuff to do but with my vacations with Roy making me feel amazingly loved and happy Thanksgiving was bound to bring out Holiday Sierra. As I said before this was the best Thanksgiving I have ever had! I woke up early and watched pretty much the entire Thanksgiving parade as I helped with cooking and hung out with my family. At around 230 I went over to my Nonni’s where pretty much my dads entire immediate family was. This year we had some newcomers to our table, Roy and his dad Rod, and Bella’s friend Olivia. It was great to have them there because our family is going through a lot of stuff and with strangers there they couldn’t discuss any of it and just had to enjoy the holiday! We played card and board games and when we weren’t using the TV for a scene it game there was a football game on. Dinner was amazing! This year me and my mom were determined to have more of a variety when it came to the menu and we succeeded! It was delicious! Roys dad had never met my family but they got along great and everyone had a good time! After we left my grandma’s we went back to my house and watched “Four Christmas’s” about an hour into that we left and hung out with Roy’s friends down the street from my house (Basically his second family) and it was a fun end to a perfect Thanksgiving!
Now here are the highlights! Oh and me and my cousins have never really been close but we all bounded over twilight and wanted to be photo hogs. Ha.

I spent friday in San Francisco doing my computer training but friday night and saturday afternoon Roy helped me with my christmas shopping! I got pretty much all of my presents bought and got a lot of sales on everything! After shopping I spent the entire day with Roy and it was amazing! We had such a great day of nothingness! It was wonderful! Ha. He went back down to LA today so I did a bunch of errands downtown and then hung out with Meg for a bit. She had a surgery on wednesday and has been on bed rest pretty much since then. We watched “Away we go” and it was phenomenal! I loved it! Funny, corky, and really sweet! Also I did our annual christmas photo shoot with my sisters! We picked out our 3 favorite ones tonight and ordered our cards online!

Also tonight we decorated our house! The tree and everything! I absolutely love the holidays! I am so happy and cheerful! : D

Perfect time for a Vacation!
My schooling hasn’t been as bad as others but it has been stressful and I definitely needed a break! Especially because I hadn’t seen Roy in 2 months!!! So thursday night I went to the New Moon premiere in Sonoma and it was great! We waited in line for a few hours just playing games and hanging out and got great seats!

The movie got out about 2:30am and by the time I got to bed it was 3:15… my alarm went off at 4am. Ha! Anywho my flight was fine, I was totally exhausted but we didn’t do much on friday so I was able to rest up.
Saturday we slept in and then went to Huntington Beach! Roy goes there all the time and it was really cool to finally see what he talks about allll the time! Ha. There wasn’t really anybody there but it was pretty nice weather so we just ate lunch, went skim boarding, and hung out in the freezing cold water! Hahaha.

We drove around downtown and it was adorable! When we got back to campus we went to dinner at the “Commons” (Food hall on campus) and then watched Zombieland! I loved it!!!!
Sunday we went to Santa Monica and walked around the pier. It was a really nice day out and there was a lot of stuff going on and the people were pretty entertaining.

After that we drove around Beverley Hills just looking at the houses, they were humungous! And sooo pretty! It was so much fun!

We found the star maps people and talked to them for a bit. They were $20 so we didn’t get one but he was pretty cool to talk to and I think if we had more time we could have a really fun time looking for the houses. We did see Michael Jacksons house which was pretty cool!!!

We just drove through Hollywood and then went back to his school. We went to the commons again for dinner with a bunch of his friends which was pretty entertaining. He did homework while I read and then we attempted to watch this movie called “Fighting” but it was horrible so we went to bed early.
Monday basically consisted of Roy going to class and then meeting me to eat then more class. I read and did homework while he was gone and finally after he was all done at like 6 ish he got a group of friends together and we went to BJ’s for dinner. They have AMAZING deep dish pizza and this thing called a pazookie which is a HUGE cookie (well its pretty doughie) with a mound of ice cream on top! It was delicious!
Before

After

When we got back to the dorms we had a big game of Kings Cup with like 10-15 people in someone’s dorm room. Ha. It was quite entertaining and unfortunately I lost both games but it was super fun!

Tuesday after we stuffed our faces at breakfast we started our adventure to San Francisco! It was 10&1/2 hours of radio podcasts, road games, a few pee stops, and LOTS of traffic!!!

We had a great time and it actually wasnt that bad. Because of Roys paranoia we had to park his car on campus and take public transportation all the way to my apt. We just made dinner and watched a movie and then today we took another adventure-trying to get to sonoma! We had to take public transport all the way to campus and then because the golden gate was closed to we had to take the Bay Bridge and get home via 580…it took us 3&1/2 hours! Ha. We had a little picnic in the park with my sisters and that is the end of my vacation!!!!!

2012 Premiere and Party!
Background: My friend Emily is doing an internship with Columbia pictures so she does a lot of promotional events for movies.
Movie: Emily had a bunch of extra tickets for the movie premiere on Wednesday so she said I could bring some friends. She told me that she would either be working in the front or would give someone my tickets so when Me, Lacy, Sarah, Lucy, Michelle, Leah, Alyse, and Lili all met up at the theater I talked to one of the girls working it because we were concerned that there was already a shit ton of people in line and we weren’t gonna get in and the girl not only gave us tickets and let us walk right in but she gave us VIP tickets! Our seats were in the back and raised up so we got to see everything beautifully and apparently Danny Clovers family was sitting right in front of us and we didn’t know! Ha. The movie was super intense and I liked it a lot!
Party: Then on saturday we threw a party at my house and Emily decorated the backyard with a bunch of 2012 posters! She also brought a few shirts, some hats, a bunch of flashlights and flyers. This was one of her assignments for her internship so after she decorated the only thing she had to do was take photos! So we did!

Small World
So on wednesday I finally asked nicole a question that I have been meaning to ask her forever which was where the gym she works out is. I found out that it is where my dad goes! I have gone there before and I have been thinking about it for weeks and she goes wait whats his name and when I told her she said it totally rang a bell so I showed her a pic and she has known him for years and loves him! Apparently they used to talk every morning when she worked the opening shift. He had told her about my Europe trip and moving to the city and stuff and Nicole just never put 2 and 2 together. But since she moved to the city she hasn’t been working the morning shift so she hasn’t seen him. So the next day when I saw my dad I told him what had happened and he totally remembered her too! Basically, one of the roommates that I just met in August has known my dad for years!!! What a small world? I love it!
