2012 Premiere and Party!
Background: My friend Emily is doing an internship with Columbia pictures so she does a lot of promotional events for movies.
Movie: Emily had a bunch of extra tickets for the movie premiere on Wednesday so she said I could bring some friends. She told me that she would either be working in the front or would give someone my tickets so when Me, Lacy, Sarah, Lucy, Michelle, Leah, Alyse, and Lili all met up at the theater I talked to one of the girls working it because we were concerned that there was already a shit ton of people in line and we weren’t gonna get in and the girl not only gave us tickets and let us walk right in but she gave us VIP tickets! Our seats were in the back and raised up so we got to see everything beautifully and apparently Danny Clovers family was sitting right in front of us and we didn’t know! Ha. The movie was super intense and I liked it a lot!
Party: Then on saturday we threw a party at my house and Emily decorated the backyard with a bunch of 2012 posters! She also brought a few shirts, some hats, a bunch of flashlights and flyers. This was one of her assignments for her internship so after she decorated the only thing she had to do was take photos! So we did!

Small World
So on wednesday I finally asked nicole a question that I have been meaning to ask her forever which was where the gym she works out is. I found out that it is where my dad goes! I have gone there before and I have been thinking about it for weeks and she goes wait whats his name and when I told her she said it totally rang a bell so I showed her a pic and she has known him for years and loves him! Apparently they used to talk every morning when she worked the opening shift. He had told her about my Europe trip and moving to the city and stuff and Nicole just never put 2 and 2 together. But since she moved to the city she hasn’t been working the morning shift so she hasn’t seen him. So the next day when I saw my dad I told him what had happened and he totally remembered her too! Basically, one of the roommates that I just met in August has known my dad for years!!! What a small world? I love it!
Halllloooweeen!
This Halloween was so much better than expected! We didn’t really have any plans till the day before but we all wanted to do something. I am so glad we ended up having a great time it was kind of a perfect night! Ha.
In the evening we all went over to the Cuffs house where they had made a haunted house in their front yard. Sean, Jimmy, Al, and Christopher took turns dressing up as dummies and scaring little kids and Katie, Erin, and Kristen were taking turns in the Gorilla Suit. Basically the kids would walk up to the house get scared by the dummies jumping

or the dummy on the gate that Bob was controlling from inside

or the gorilla that chases them after they got the candy.

It was pretty freakin funny! The rest of us just kind of hung out in the driveway drinking and laughing.

After the tricker treaters dwindled down me and the girls went over to Heather and Allans! We hung out there the rest of the night, playing beerpong, dancing and just having fun!!!

It was such a great night! The perfect combo between Halloween tradition and a good party!!!
Oh and PS My cousin has come to live with us so before I went over to the Cuffs I hung out with her and my sis.

Cowboys, Indians, and Crabs?
Saturday was Katie and Brigittes family Birthday Party! It was themed “Cowboys and Indians” so friday night we set up the front yard with hay stacks and a Teepee that we made! Saturday morning I went over to the Cuffs for breakfast and we finished decorating the house! It looked pretty AWESOME!!!

We had a great time hanging out and eating good food, plus they had all the birthday activities like presents and cake! We followed there tradition of watching “Hocus Pocus”. I was so stoked because I hadn’t seen it since last year! I hadn’t realized it before but it is my favorite Halloween movie!!! Later on that night we watched American Psycho and then had a mini office marathon.
I feel like all my blogs are so repetitive and lame! I have no variation in how I talk about the things I do and its kinda of frustrating. I did have a great time on friday and was very proud of all of our awesome costumes and the amazing decorations! As I said before we took a ton of photos and I was really happy that her family was as into as we were!

On sunday we continued the birthday celebrations by taking Brigitte to Joe’s Crab Shack in the city! We had a very entertaining lunch because of the workers dancing every 30 minutes or so, everyone eating the sea food hardcore, and then B being forced to dance around the restaurant pretending to be a bird while Katie cheered her own in a tiara and pompoms! Yes, I do have a video of it! It was so much fun!

After lunch we walked around Fishermans Warf a bit and then came home! It was a great weekend!
Tastes of the Bay!
Taste of the Bay is an event put on by hospitality management students at SFSU for their major. The funding they get from this event goes towards their clubs, scholarships, etc. I am not a HM major but I am taking a class. When they pitched the idea in class I immediately became interested because it would be a great experience for me as a event planner, plus it was a chance for me to meet people and network. Today was this event and it was awesome! It was on a yacht in Pier 3 and it had a beautiful view of the Embarcadero and Bay Bridge.

I met some really awesome people from my class and school who were all super fun! The work part was easy because it was exactly like the catering I do but way less intense. The food was delicious (yes I got to sample a bunch of it) and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves! There were a bunch of vendors and quite a few of them I recognized from Sonoma or Napa (B.R. Cohn for example). The coolest station though was Luce’s where Dominique Crenn was cooking! I didn’t know who she was till someone told me but she was on Next Iron Chef last season!

She was super nice! Since I had many chances to strike up a conversation with her but nothing to talk about I made Emily(A girl I met who loved her!) go and talk to her and eventually ask her if she could interview her for our HM project later on this semester. She said yes! And I thought that was soo cool! She signed a little thing for me and when I talked to her she seemed to be enjoying her drunken self and the attention.
I was a server the entire time so I served food from SFSU’s Chef Dan (Vista Room), which basically consisted of appetizers and desserts but it was still fun and had a great time with the girls I did it with. There was only a few of us so we got to know each other and make the night entertaining! Although I didn’t get to network much, my good work was noticed. I was hugged by a man that loved my attentiveness to the guests and asked if we could be best friends. He was quite drunk and old so I laughed and walked away. Ha. Overall it was a great night and I am glad I got to meet some cool people!

Disney on Ice!
Since today (10/20) is Katies Birthday and since I wasn’t going to get to hang out with her I made up for it by doing something awesome! I took her to Disney Princesses on Ice! Natassja was also taking Brigitte for her birthday, everyone knew but Katie and she was kinda freakin out. She wouldn’t let us tell her but she wouldn’t shut up about it! Hahaha. I did make them both a beautiful cake which once again I am super proud about!

We got dressed up, took the bart to Oakland, and got there a bit earlier so got drinks and food and got prepared for the amazingness!!!

We had a fabulous time! The ice skating was beautiful and they did the Disney princess movies in about 20 minutes each and then ended with the BEST, Cinderella! The finale was awesome, of course!

After it was over we just went back to my apartment, hung out and watched “Sex and the City”! It was such a great girls night! We had a such a great time!!!
lazy sunday’s…
I basically had a “lazy sunday” weekend and it was wonderful! For me a “lazy sunday” consists of hanging out with the people I love, watching tv, going to the movies, and maybe doing a little bit of homework. Ha. Friday was my mothers birthday so we saw “Couples Retreat”, it was great! I loved a bunch of the actors in the movie but it was even better than I could have expected! There was a great scene with Jon Favreau flirting with his masseuse and it was hilarious! Especially because Jon is a frequent member of our spa! Hahaha. That night we had Black Bear for dinner (yes there open again!) and got a baskin robins ice cream cake which I hadn’t had in forever!
Saturday and Sunday I pretty much just hung out with my family, caught up on tivo, and did some homework. But the great thing is I got to spend time with my besties! I hung out with Kelsey after she got off work on saturday for a few hours and then went to petaluma to see “Whip It” with Katie. On sunday I got to catch up with megan over drinks at Starbucks and then later that night I went over to Erins for some much needed girl talk. Getting to see everyone pretty much made my weekend!
Monday was a kind of a disaster but it ended up being really great! Nicole hosted Canadian Thanksgiving at her boyfriends house so we all made a little something. It was an amazing dinner followed with a delicious dessert! The best part was my cake of course!

It was really great to just eat yummy food, have good wine, and enjoy some fun company! I think everyone had a great time and it made me super excited for the holidays!
Here are some photos from our first holiday together! Ha

Then the laziest sunday of all was today! I woke up to the pouring rain this morning and loved it! All day today I have just been hanging out and relaxing! I caught up on some of my TV shows, watched a movie, organized some things in my room that have been bugging me, ate delicious and warm food, it has been spectacular!
Interesting day of school…
My sociology class today had the director of this movie we watched last class(“Straight outta hunter point” movie about the ghetto of san francisco). He was really cool and had a lot of interesting stuff to talk about. He was really funny too. My class is usually boring because its all stuff I have covered in other classes. He was cracking me up at the end cause he was taking his “facebook default” with my professor and then with his friend who is in the class. It was definitely my most interesting day of class and gave me a lot to think about.
Then in my comm class we actually had a really boring lecture but my group and me were making little comments throughout the entire thing so it became pretty entertaining. Then we did a group activity and of course my group was actually my “group” for our semester long project so me and madeline were cracking jokes the entire time! I ended up laughing so hard my stomach was sore after! It was so much fun!
I know it seems lame to write about this but lately school has been such a drone. I have been pushing my self to go to class and its not that its bad but its just not that interesting. Today was just such a better day. And I loved laughing that hard!!! Soo much fun! Most of the stuff that we were cracking up about was quotes from “The Office” but still is was great!
Youtube!
I love youtube! But especially when I get to watch super fun videos like this! Ha.
This is called “Facebook in Reality”
Sweet home Sonoma
I came home this weekend because it seemed pointless not to. I worked in Kenwood on friday, another wedding! Then spend the whole day saturday with my sisters! We went to napa to get our hair cut, well we all only got trims and mine looks pretty much like it did last may when I cut it but I like it a lot!

Later that day we grabbed Redgrape and ate it at my nonni’s then went to see “Fame”! It was sooo good! I felt inspired to go to a dance school, or learn to sing or something! Haha. Tessa and I just played cards the rest of the night while we watch some TV. It was a really kicked back night but so much fun!
Today, after breakfast with my grandma me and tessa went shopping for Halloween decorations! We went all out at the dollar store! It was so much fun! When I got back to my house I just hung out with my mom, caught up on my tivo (FYI- Ryan Rehnolds was hilarious on SNL!), washed my car, and went “shopping” in our pantry! I also got some homework worked into there but not a lot of it. Ha.
Overall it was good weekend! But I would like to devote the rest of this blog to my cats! hahaha! I just found these photos and they were just so cute when they were kittens!!!
